Inside our straw walls, The Last Straw Cafe brings together earthy Thai cuisine with freshly, roasted coffee beans in house,
from around the globe.
We pride ourselves on providing traditional Thai food with fresh, locally produced ingredients.
In our open kitchen we have created an environment where customers and staff engage on a personal level, to experience the sights, smells and sounds of Thai culture.
Each day there are 6 to 7 dish choices on the menu that varies daily.
All dishes are made from the freshest ingredients that are sourced daily and prepared to order.
A unique function space for your next lunch meeting, birthday or special occasion.
The Last Straw offers the menu option for
groups between15 to 30 guests.

The Last Straw is a solar passive design that is made from wheat straw bales and hand rendered with sand and lime.
The thick rustic yellow render with 90 year old exposed saw-tooth trusses (from the Ardmona Cannery) and polished concrete gives the building an organic, wholesome feel while being very energy efficient.
The décor with soft coloured tones has furniture made from recycled timber, set among retro laminex tables and chairs from the 60’s, as well as a 1970’s functional record player.
Carefully decorated around the venue are a collection of antique coffee brewing equipment and a state of the art commercial coffee roaster from Turkey. The open style kitchen is the engine room for preparing exotic Thai food made to order.
TUCKED AWAY IN THE INDUSTRIAL STREETS OF SHEPPARTON, THE STRAW BALE BUILDING COMBINES RESTORED MATERIALS AND ENERGY EFFICIENT DESIGNS.
Bean Around Coffee is an initiative to deliver coffee beans from exotic corners of the world to the Goulburn Valley region.
The beans are delicately roasted to extract their true characters for all of us to enjoy great fresh coffee. All our beans are roasted according to their individual origin using a traditional drum roaster. We at Bean Around carefully monitor each roast to ensure we bring you the highest possible quality every time.
Our high emphasis on on freshness means that our products reach you sealed in a high quality, black foil bag with a one way air valve. These specially designed bags lock in the freshness, while locking out air and sunlight to bring you the very best of coffee experiences. Each bag is clearly marked with the roasting date, so you know just how fresh they are.
